The St. Claude Drainage Improvement Project project has been declared substantially complete as the contractor, Infinity Construction, finished up the project punch list this month. The $1.5M infrastructure improvement project, which began in October 2019, was designed by Waggoner Engineering and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program.
The project area included the 1100 blocks of Montegut and Feliciana streets as well as the 3000 blocks of Urquhart and Marais streets. Scope of work included:
- Replacing damaged water, sewer and drainage lines;
- Rebuilding the street entirely;
- Repairing sidewalks and curbs; and
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
Details of this project were made available at a public pre-construction meeting held in October 2019. View a copy of the meeting presentation here. For more information about this project and other upcoming work, please visit roadwork.nola.gov or call 504.658.ROAD (7623).
